Our Museum Pass and Discount Tickets program is generously sponsored by The Friends of the South Plainfield Public Library.
South Plainfield residents who have a library card in good standing can make reservations online through Museum Key. You will need to enter the barcode on your library card to reserve the pass or tickets of your choice. Most passes can be printed out from home, but please note you will need to come in to pay for and pick up discounted tickets (checks are no longer accepted – payment may be made by cash or credit card that is processed through PayPal). A $10 deposit is required to borrow those passes that cannot be printed from home. Your deposit will be refunded when the pass is returned to the library!
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot refund or exchange discounted tickets, so please be sure to check the expiration date on tickets prior to purchasing them! We recommend purchasing tickets within a week of your planned visit.
Available Passes
Adventure Aquarium
Patrons may reserve up to 5 Adventure Aquarium tickets every 30 days. Tickets cost $31 per adult ticket (ages 13+) and $23 per child’s ticket (ages 2 -12). Children ages 2 and under are admitted for free.
Battleship New Jersey
This pass admits 2 adults and 3 children for free.
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
Each pass admits 4 people at a time (2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children). Additional guests must pay admission.
Eastern State Penitentiary
Pass provides general admission for up to 6 people. Admission is for daytime historic tours only. Not valid for Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary, Night Tours, discounts, special events, or facility rentals. Eastern State’s programming is best enjoyed by children ages seven and older.
Guggenheim
Free admission for 4 people, plus half-price tickets for additional guests. Children under 12 years of age are always admitted for free. Discounts available for Guggenheim stores and restaurants. Reserved tickets are not required.
Intrepid Museum
This pass entitles a library patron free admission for 2 Adults and 2 Children. Additional discounted guest tickets: $19 adult, $14 child. 10% discount on Family Memberships for library patrons.
Jenkinson’s Aquarium
Patrons may reserve up to 5 Jenkinson’s Aquarium tickets every 30 days. Tickets cost $5 each and are valid for both adults and children. Children ages 2 and under are admitted for free.
Monmouth Museum
This pass admits 2 adults and 2 children. You will need to show your library card and a photo ID, as well as provide a valid email address to be admitted using this pass.
Morris Museum
Free admission for up to 2 adults and 3 children. The Morris Museum’s mission is to elevate the cultural consciousness, excite the mind and enhance the quality of life by advancing the understanding and enjoyment of the visual and performing arts, natural and physical sciences and humanities.
Morven Museum & Garden
Admits up to 4 guests. Additional guests are required to pay admission. After reserving your library pass, please visit morven.org/partners to reserve your time ticketed entry. You do not need to log-in. Just select the time and the number of tickets, then click Reserve.
Museum of the American Revolution
Pass admits two (2) adults and four (4) youth (ages 6-17). Children 5 and under are free. Pass holders also receive a 10% discount at Cross Keys Café and the Museum Shop. The pass must be presented for the first available time slots on the same day and guests may not reserve future days.
Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum
Pass provides general admission for up to 2 adults and 6 children. Guest may borrow this library pass once every 365 days. Always confirm the museum’s operating hours before visiting. Pass does not grant admission to special events.
Newark Museum of Art
Pass allows free admission for 2 adults and all children under 16. Show the pass for a 10% discount at the Museum gift shop.
